The Interactive Floor Plan builder is your visual workspace for designing event layouts with precision and ease. Built for planners, venues, and agencies, it lets you create, customize, and collaborate on layouts in real time.

🛠️ How to Use It

  1. Select an event from your Dashboard
  2. Click the Floor Plan tab in the sidebar
  3. Use the toolbar to drag tables, furniture, and objects onto the canvas
  4. Customize each item (size, label, rotation, etc.)
  5. Upload a background image to represent the venue layout (optional)
  6. Changes auto-sync in real time with your team

💡 Add comments to specific items using the comment tool — great for team discussion or client approvals.

Legend:

  1. Navigation Bar — Switch between different diagrams or quickly jump back to the main event page.
  2. Control Bar — Includes zoom controls, pan/move mode, a ruler, and other general-purpose layout tools.
  3. Toolbar — Contains layout elements like tables, chairs, furniture, and zone markers.
  4. Properties Panel — Lets you customize selected items: adjust size, labels, rotation, and more.
  5. Canvas Area — The main workspace where you drag, position, and organize layout items.
  6. Statistics Panel — Displays real-time counts of tables, chairs, and other elements on the layout.

Built with Convex, this tool enables:

  • Multiple users editing the same layout simultaneously
  • Instant syncing of changes without refresh
  • Visibility into user actions and cursor movements

🔐 All changes are saved with timestamps and user activity logs for security.
